I'm affected by this issue as well. I'm not entirely sure when people started developing snapd/snapcraft, but I reckon it was well beyond the introduction of IPv6. I hope that for new services people can take IPv6 into account from the get-go.

Maybe you can explain why this is so difficult to realize in the case of snapcraft.io? To someone not intimately familiar with its internals it doesn't seem all to difficult to add an extra reverse proxy?
