i had the same issue with a sideloaded snap that works fine on an identical desktop install but on the laptop installation it showed:

ogra@acheron:~$ snapcraft-forum
cannot change profile for the next exec call: No such file or directory
snap-update-ns failed with code 1: No such file or directory
ogra@acheron:~$ snap run snapcraft-forum
cannot change profile for the next exec call: No such file or directory
snap-update-ns failed with code 1: No such file or directory

refreshing core to beta got me out of this state ...
