There's not much I can add, but having only recently installed snap I'm also very surprised to have found the snap folder in my home directory. I know I can hide the folder in nautilus, but this is not the point. There have been many reasonable suggestion of where to put the folder and hope one of them can be considered and soon be implemented. Thank you.
