When scanning a text document with Simple Scan, it would be great if it had the option and appropriate user configurable settings to generate a vector OCR layer when saving as a PDF. The layer could overlay the underlying raster scan. |
When scanning a text document with Simple Scan, it would be great if the user had the option and an appropriate easy to use user configurable settings were exposed to generate a vector OCR layer when saving as a PDF. The layer could overlay the underlying raster scan.
This would enable users to search and select from within a scanned document, as well as for system indexing services to hash the document. |

When scanning a text document with Simple Scan, it would be great if the user had the option to generate a vector OCR layer when saving as a PDF. An easy to use configuration dialog could be exposed. The generated layer could overlay the underlying raster scan when scanning in text mode.
This would enable users to search and select from within a scanned document, as well as for system indexing services to hash the document. |
