Bug Description

In Official server guide - advanced installation.
https://help.ubuntu.com/12.04/serverguide/advanced-installation.html

Section: Partitioning
8. As with the swap partition, select the "Use as:" line at the top, changing it to "physical volume for RAID". Also select the "Bootable flag:" line to change the value to "on". Then choose "Done setting up partition".

Boot flag doesn't change. See confirmed bug in debian installer - confirmed almost 3 years ago.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/477167

This is a very popular use case and for at least the last 2 LTS releases the official server install documentation breaks for me at this early stage in the process. There are workarounds, but sysadmins migrating from windows may not be versed in how best to find them.

Sort of brought my build to a dead halt - any reasonable workarounds?
