Bug Description
retrieved MARC records are truncated at accented characters when fetching with biblio tool on scribenode localhost, i.e. from http://
this is currently effecting DC, NYC, and Boston.
the workaround is to use homeserver: http://
but this is critical for DC (Smithsonian Institution)

Steve, can you say a bit more about the problem? I had to deal with what sounds like a similar issue when I was handling title and author strings while making book covers, but I'm not sure whether what I did is relevant here.
