Bug Description
If you have been working with two different views and you have some files opened in the right view, when you close it, the files remain there. However, if you forget about this issue, trying to open these files from the file explorer will neither pop up the view nor open it in the main view. This can be confusing.

I'm not sure if my diagnosys is good enough, since I have not been able to replicate it always. I think that this issue may be part of the strange behaviour of the a bit unstable context of the new view pane.
