If you had a file opened in a view which is not shown, the file will not get focus

If you have been working with two different views and you have some files opened in the right view, when you close it, the files remain there. However, if you forget about this issue, trying to open these files from the file explorer will neither pop up the view nor open it in the main view. This can be confusing.
