Bug Description

Hi

I Created Year, Term, Course and Timetable

Scheduled the course section to be within a term (i.e. later than Term start date and earlier than Term end date) using the following parameters
First Scheduled Day 20 Feb 2012, Last Scheduled Day 9th Mar 2012

Checked first period check box in Scheduled Periods for each day of the week (Mon-Fri).
Clicked on calendar for the Course, and the first scheduled Lesson is on 21 Feb 2012 rather than 20 Feb as expected.
Last lesson is on 9th Mar 2012 as expected

Is this expected behaviour or am I doing something wrong.

Cheers

Robin

IRC Chat from 4/24/13:

<Ricza> Hi all. Does anyone perhaps know what could cause the scheduling of a section to skip the "First scheduled day" and start the day after?
I see a question was asked sometime ago: https://answers.launchpad.net/schooltool/+question/186181. It is marked as resolved though in 2.0.2, I am running 2.3.1 and still experience this
<th1a> hi Ricza.
<Ricza> Hi
<th1a> Did you set the timezone or leave it at GMT?
<Ricza> I set the timezone to by local timezone on first setup. After reading the recommended fix I have tried GMT as well as UTC, with little change.
<th1a> Hrm. OK.
How far along are you at this point? Just experimenting, actually have things set up for a real school, in production?
<Ricza> We are in the process of setting up for a new school, but not too far along as yet
<th1a> What's your local timezone?
 Looking at 2.0.2 release notes...
<Ricza> Africa/Joburg - UTC +2

Gediminas said this about the original question:

"This was fixed in schooltool 2.0.2 IIRC, so don't need to use GMT timezone now."

But I don't see the fix in 2.0.2

Seems to only occur when using not using GMT calendar and with a timetable set to use rotating cycle where the days of the week are named. (We use this option as Days of Week doesn't allow for weekends to scheduled).

It's a bit difficult to reproduce. It would greatly help us if you could go to School -> School Export, download the XLS file and attach it.

To protect sensitive school data you can delete all sheets, except: School Years, Terms and School Timetables.

Thanks!
