Journal should support New and Withdrawal marks

Bug Description

The Journal currently gives special meaning to "a" (absent) and "t" (tardy). I would like it to also recognize "n" (new) and "w" (withdrawn) so that the system can better record when students are added (with "n") and withdrawn (with "w") from a section.

We need to talk about this and also how absence and tardiness relate to score systems in the journal. Or whatever you're actually working on...

But please keep Douglas and I in the loop on this too, since we are using the journal to report both "a" and "t" and daily quiz scores from pyquiz.
