Arrggghhh! :( No the diff isn't backwards.

Ok... I think I have it.

My version of bidi is not the most current version in CTAN. TeXlive
seems to be a little behind. If I update to the version from CTAN, then
it works ok.

Finally, some progress.

I therefore propose the following patch to the current svn, to just tidy things up.

--- sbllangbase.sty (revision 78)
+++ sbllangbase.sty (working copy)
@@ -36,10 +36,8 @@

 % setup English
 \ifxetexsbl
- \RequirePackage{fontspec}
   \RequirePackage{xltxtra}
   \RequirePackage{bidi}
- \RequirePackage{xunicode}
   \newcommand{\en}[1]{{\normalfont #1}}
 \else
   \RequirePackage[utf8x]{inputenc}

Can all please test if that works?

The final thing related to this bug is to test the install and usage of
sblhebrew.sty and sblgreek.sty under LaTeX (not XeLaTeX). So, I would
appreciate if someone can look into that too.

cheers,

David
