May I suggest a temporary solution - strip the polish translation file of the mentioned letters (substitute them with laltin equivalents, eg ł with l, ś with s, etc), so the game will be at least playable in Polish. But keep the file with the special characters as a backup - when the font will support these characters simply bring back the backed up translation file.
