Fixed by --rebuilddb.

Backporting the changes from rpm-4.4.8-0.3 @rpm5.org particularly the
stale lock-regsistration that triggers running DB->verify() and DB_RECOVER
might have helped detect this problem sooner.

The needed changes are in rpmdb/db3.c and should be quite easy to
port to rpm-4.6.x (or any other rpm.org release).

The changes were posted to centos-devel, and through bugzilla.redhat.com,
as well as on rpm-maint; rejected without really explaing the cause or with a
postive alternative.
