As far as I know the software is everything that is not hardware. This includes the program files, but also support material and documentation. Maybe this definition has been changed in the last years…

If you don't consider broken links as bugs, I don't know what they are in this case. But they aren't questions if you have that in mind.

And if you dislike to have web page errors in the bug tracker… I don't know how you want to keep track of the problems. A forum is definitely the wrong place for such type of information.

BTW: Monitoring Forums is not always easy. And I don't know whether the rocrail forums are professionally monitored. So I MUST assume that any message there gets lost. On the other hand YOU, the developers are the those, who know whom to contact or how to fix this. The usual citizens of forums – the users – are usually neither interested nor competent to deal with such questions.

So I will follow your advise and consider the forum if I have questions, which will probably not be the case until I get it installed. Which means installed from either a current stable or current SCM/obvously daily source on a Debian unstable system. Due to recent changes in Debian the binary packages for older releases will break my system.
