So far I only tried the version available in the official repsoitories. I'm using 3.0.0-14-generic on Ubuntu 11.10, redshift 1.7.
OK, just found out, that the cl version works as soon as i give lat/lang informations with it. Same for the gtk version.
For new users it would probably be helpfull if above error message did'nt occur when not providing location information.
When I try to start redshift, this happens:
