Thanks for the log file, it's essential. Am I correct that you never downloaded any photos or videos using Rapid Photo Downloader before the exception occurred? In other words, the first time you clicked download button, you got the problem. Is that right?

As an aside, to view thumbnails for the .mov files, I'm fairly certain you need to install gstreamer-libav. I don't know how you can do that on openSUSE, however.
