this code is vendored from [1] and so the patch should be applied there and then updated code should be pulled here. From a quick glance, it seems that this was already fixed upstream so I will pull the updated code from there.

Note that the patch looks the wrong way around, i.e. it removes incomplete to add uncomplete?

Also note that the vendored should not actually be used as SyncTeX is provided as a shared library nowadays which qpdfview should prefer if it is available via pkg-config at build time. The Debian should definitely do that instead of relying on the vendored code. (The vendored code is just there for other platforms.)
