Search results are cleared on change of wm workspace

Bug Description
I'm using a window manager (bspwm) that lets you create desktops--more commonly known as (virtual) workspaces. Whenever I switch focus from a workspace with a qpdfview window to another workspace, qpdfview no longer shows any search results on refocus of its workspace and I have to run the search again. The extended search dock setting exhibits the same faulty behavior.

I observe the same behaviour on the Gnome 3 desktop, qpdfview 0.4.18, Poppler 0.85.0.
Edit: Moreover, if there are multiple tabs open, the background tabs' search terms are "forgotten" when changing viewports. (The search term for the foreground tab remains in the search field.)
