YES! That did the trick!

Though, with this patch I was unable to compile qemu 0.15rc1. I suppose the patch wasn't meant for it, but with 0.14.1 it works flawlessly.

Also, I had to do echo 2 >/proc/cpu/alignment as was mentioned by Peter. I hope the patch gets applied to the main tree.
