Just to expand a little more on the "second DEVICE_DELETED" event:

Apparently this is an "oddity" of VirtIO devices where we see _two_ DEVICE_DELETED events upon hot-unplugging a device. So, ideally, we should see the following two events, but we're only seeing the first one:

(1) "event": "DEVICE_DELETED", "data": {"path": "/machine/peripheral/virtio-disk1/virtio-backend"}}

(2) "event": "DEVICE_DELETED", "data": {"device": "virtio-disk1", "path": "/machine/peripheral/virtio-disk1"}}
