Comment 11 for bug 383171

I'm still unable to reproduce this. I have made clean installs of Python 2.4.6 and Python 2.6.2 from source and successfully installed pytz without setuptools available.

Setting this bug to incomplete as I can't see any way of progressing without more information. Perhaps this is a bug in earlier versions of distutils, or perhaps a change in pytz has worked around the issue?
