Comment 2 for bug 179824

The bug is connected with configuration file. If pytube does not find ~/.pytube/config it creates one for you. The problem is that this file remains blank until you edit your configuration. Please go to Edit->preferences, choose the destination dir and close the window. After this step your downloads should work. We will fix this behavior in the next release that should be out in a few days.
