I can resolve the proxy DNS, of course. But I cannot resolve any other address without using the proxy first. I don't know anything about how it works, but with 'normal' proxy, you use it once you get the IP (no need for proxy to resolve DNS -> ip). In my case, even the step DNS -> IP needs the proxy somehow.
