Thank you for the prompt offer of help. You are right that all I currently need is for someone to build an egg and make it available to me.

(I remain interested in helping with other related things: making the pyOpenSSL setup.py script capable of building eggs, automating the building of such with buildbot, patching the OpenSSL config scripts so that you can build native OpenSSL libs with cygwin, etc.)

In fact, I don't even require that the egg is hosted on PyPI -- I could host that particular binary egg on allmydata.org. It would seem better for it to be hosted on PyPI, for various reasons.
