Note that I have submitted a patch for setuptools -- http://mail.python.org/pipermail/distutils-sig/2008-November/010488.html -- that would render this "tweak the sys.path" behavior unnecessary. However, could we please go ahead and build pyOpenSSL binaries for Windows so that the next release of Tahoe (which will be called tahoe-lafs-1.3.0), will be installable on Windows?

I would be willing to do some more work to make this happen, such as perhaps writing a buildbot config script to build binaries and upload them to pypi whenever a bzr commit happens.

I would even (ick) be willing to *manually* build a binary and upload it to pypi, at least this one last time (because hopefully in the future such icky manual labor will be automated).
