Adam, you're talking about block-level replication of devices, which I agree is something we'll have to investigate more carefully and probably integrate into Ensemble itself at some point. Nowadays many services do their own high-level clustering/
Kapil is right, we need to add some minor features to allow for more comfortable leader election, but this is relatively easy compared to what you're talking about (and what the bug description mentions).
