When developing ensemble formulas the latency of running 'ensemble <command>' inhibits developer productivity; it would be great to have an ensemble shell which would maintain the connection to the ensemble environment allowing a developer or admin to then execute commands within a shell without initiating a new connection all of the time.
This would also really help with scripting ensemble commands.
