While the additional checks in code (as Christian suggests) would be good in Swift, it doesn't seem that this is a security bug in Swift. However, we should consider submitting it as a security bug to puppet-swift. before we open this one. ie it seems responsible to give people a chance to upgrade before we just say "too bad, you shouldn't have messed up your config"
