I'm not to sure about having automatic flattr'ing in the app. I don't think some users will be happy with having an app that automatically takes your money, even if it is opt in.

Flattr does have a new API out that should allow me to put flattr buttons in the app, so you'll be able to flattr the podcasts from the app and not need to go to the site. I don't know when this feature might make it in, but it is on the TODO list.

On a side note, Fab wants to move all bug tracking to the sixgun bugzilla at http://sixgun.org/bugs/ so could you file future bugs there as the launchpad tracker is going to be closed. Thanks.
