Bug Description

This isn't really a bug, but it is a request for a feature that is often left out of programs these days, it seems. Allow the font size to be configurable. Yeah, it never used to be a big deal for me. But I'm getting older and it's really hard to read the tweets because the fonts are just a wee bit to small to read. I have to lean over and give myself a backache. LOL!

Thanks!

Thinking about this, shouldn't the font size be something that the GTK style does for you? I suppose, if you have trouble reading the tweets, you problably also have trouble reading every other text which is written on the screen, so it probably would be the best thing to have a central place where you can change this, e.g. the GNOME control center or the new GNOME tweak tool.

Font customization is not just aimed at people who have trouble reading everything. It also aimed at people who are capable of reading in the normal settings, but want to maximize comfort while reading the main content. For those, changing *only* the main content is better because it avoids annoying side effects like the menubar becoming too thick.

To add to what Conscious User said, every program(mer) has his or her own ideas about fonts and font sizes, it seems. So while yes, setting the font size globally makes sense, it doesn't address the problem on an individual program's basis.

One good example of this problem in action is Nix Note. Cutting and pasting notes into Nix Note produces a mix mash of fonts and sizes. So size adjustment has to be made on the fly, sometimes note by note.
