We'll start testing them now. I've got another question: we tested the -proposed Maverick language packs a while ago, and we could not sign them off due to this exact same problem.

May I ask you to add a nomination for Maverick and apply the same fix (i.e. removing ca-valencia.xpi) to the current Catalan base language pack in maverick-proposed?
