@ Paul D Smyth - Thanks for your comment. I changed the gstreamer task to Fix Released based on comment #49 in this bug. Can you check that you have all of the following installed:

gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly

If you have all of the above installed and are still getting the bug can you please provide steps to reproduce. If you can also provide a small example video file that would be even better.
