Bug Description

When using the rectangle select tool, and then clicking "crop to selection" 3 dots are left on the image, and even show up after the image is saved and opened in another program.

This is reproducible 100% of the time. I'm currently using the latest pinta 1.1 on ubuntu 12.04, I could also reproduce this on my arch linux install with pinta 1.1

I've attached an example image showing the dots.

This is a duplicate of the original description of bug 887574 ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/pinta/+bug/887574 ), and has already been fixed in master. I can see how searching for this issue wouldn't bring up that bug anymore, sorry about that and thanks for a well-filed bug!

Any idea why the fix never made it to the ubuntu repositories?
This bug renders the application unusable.

I suspect that since the bug is now considered low priority and is no longer fix committed it will be over looked.

The fix for the original, major problem was released with Pinta 1.2 on April 22nd. I see that Ubuntu 12.04 only carries Pinta 1.1, probably because 1.2 was released too late to make it in. You should add the Pinta stable PPA [1] to get the newest stable version witht his and lots of other fixes. :-)
