Using Text and copy/paste image and text is not copied

Pinta dev. 1.7.0.199

1. Open dwo Pinta programs.
2. In first program. Bucket and fill canvas with black color.
3. Click on red color from Palette. Text object and type some text.
4. Press CTRL+A you see whole text is selected. OK. Press Esc to finalize Text.
5. Press CTRL+A this should select whole image and CTRL+C to copy image.
6. Switch to second Pinta program and CTRL+V to paste and it is pasted image without text. The same problem appears if pasted to LibreOffice Writer. It looks like to me that source of the problem is at copy and not at paste.

Just a reminder this problem can be reproduced without bucket, so it looks like just related to Text object. I just added this black background that it is clear that copy/paste was performed just without last text object.

I can still reproduce this problem in 1.7+r1113-202007280014~ubuntu18.04.1.

Yeah, it seems to be an issue where the text isn't finalized properly before copying. This is probably a risky one to fix right before 1.7 since finalizing re-editable tools like the text or line tool is a very bug-prone area that needs some reworking.
