Pidgeon doesn't minimise to Indicator Applet

Bug Description

I'm fairly sure that Pidgin used to minimise into the Indicator Applet icon and disappear from the taskbar menu. Since updating to Karmic, this doesn't happen any more.

Further info - if I recall correctly, you used to be able to click on the indicator applet and the messenger would hide or appear. That doesn't happen now.
I thought that clicking the minimise button would make pidgin minimise to the indicator applet, but it minimises to the task bar. Now clicking on the [X] close button on pidgin's taskbar causes pidgin to minimise to the indicator applet and not the task bar. I didn't expect this behaviour - to me the close button means close; minimise means minimise, currently they both seem to mean minimise!
