Comment 1 for bug 1627982

Can you open from a terminal and see if there are any obvious error
messages? What sort of images (jpeg? Raw?) and how old? Exiv2 may have
issues with some older formats. Also are you using the default
thumbnailing settings? (Under collection settings.)
