Does not have to be html5 contenteditable, but it should be easy to port it to contenteditabel once this functionality is
more standardized in browsers.
My personalized view on this is that we should opt for standards before opting for external api-s.
I view jquery et. al. as interrim solutions until there is a standardized way to achieve such functionality without external dependencies.
