The option is not available yet. (As far as I know.) My point is that you have a point with this patch, but instead of introducing a new syntax:
service mysql bootstrap

Why don't you implement our future syntax instead:
service mysql start --wsrep-cluster-start

Then internally in the script do exactly what you do now (wsrep-cluster-address="gcomm://")
