I don't think this compact option makes much sense for Galera SST, but eh.

I saw this bug was mentioned in the 2.4.0-rc release notes:

But seems to affect all the current releases (apparently openstack-ansible is using XB 2.2.13, and I encountered this under XB 2.3.5), so some clarification in the documentation as to when this feature might be appropriate might be useful until a fix is implemented.
