By code review this might happen if PURGE/RESET is issued in parallel with I_S.I_C_P query. The fix would be to make any and all I/O error in the I_C_P reader non-fatal and assume that the bitmaps might disappear at any moment. The warnings printed in that case are valid and will stay.
