Percona-Server is mysql from tarball with applied patches.
Unfortunatelly, in tarball following files:
 1) mysql-test/mysql-test-run
 2) mysql-test/mysql-test-run.pl
not a symlinks to
 mysql-test/mtr
but full copies of it.

Suggested fix: remove this files and create symlinks
