    1. I see that you noticed this memory leak even without any slave filters (replicate-* options, I also don't see them in the my.cnf attached). Is that right?

    2. Does running a 'FLUSH TABLES' free the memory in your case (witout the restart described in initial description)

This is to check if the issues commented from #17 onwards match the ones before it and also to see if it is related to mysql replication.
