I have servers running both 5.1 and 5.5 libraries.

I'm still seeing this issue with Percona Server 5.5.27-29.0.

The /usr/lib64/libmysqlclient.so.16.0.0 from Percona-Server-shared-51-5.1.65-rel14.0.482 works though.

I have not tried the 51-shared-compat version as I don't use that package.
