Yes, I agree that the community should govern and that alert / talk
pages would be a practical solution. I just want to make sure there
is a very clear (alert) button on the homepage to this effect.
Perhaps Greg can add another link to the homepage for Copyright
Infringement wherein we can post the policy and instructions. This
could be placed to the right of the existing links under the search
bar along with another new link for Important Notices (see separate
email).

I don't want this to turn into a gatekeeper situation and ideally, power
to the committer.

If anything, there should be ability to get a feed of recentchanges for
site, and or a way to send out emails upon page changes.

I think the other thing needed is an alert button which then allows for
sending an email about a record from the record page which can go to an
email/list of choice, like the <email address hidden> (yes, alerts
should go to public list)

Yes, I realize these should probably be broken up as diff. items, but
want to get comments first from OL + PDR folks.
