Bug Description

After I unlock the greeter, I get logged into my session and the mouse pointer disappears.

To fix I have to switch to a terminal session (ctrl+alt+f1-6) and then switch back to the X session (ctrl+alt+f7).

I've also seen this bug in Ubuntu since version 15.10. The same workaround as well. Since X draws the cursor, switching TTYs causes it to be redrawn. It might be an upstream bug.

This seems to be a similar issue upstream [1] and people have been pointing fingers at lghtdm (as GDM seems not to have the same issue).

Some people pointed to driver problems, while others [2] pointed to deffective lightdm configuration or lately kernel race conditions. It seems people are still seeing it, even in XFCE.

Just want to make a note that this seems to happen regardless of if the GSD cursor plugin is enabled or disabled and on both touch and non-touch devices
