Sometimes when I try to move pics into another folder in FREYA this happens before it crashes.
I put it in windows overview mode for the photo above after pantheon-files was slowing down when copying files to another folder. All of these other file manager apps show up in the windows overview mode for some reason, even though I just have one pantheon-files open. They eventually all disappear after a minute or two. It seems to happen (only sometimes) when I'm moving files (pics) into another folder with my laptop mouse. I think it happens if I hold too long on the mouse button.

The large number of Files windows open could be causing the problem - updating them all will slow the application down and could cause a crash if memory runs out.
One way of creating many windows would be to hold <Ctrl>N down. I tried this and it takes less than a second to create as many windows as in your windows and the whole computer slows down.
I think it is a bug that so many windows can so easily be created. There should be a limit on the total number and rate of production of new windows, I think.
It is not obvious how moving files would result in window production (or are you moving them between two windows and accidentally created too many?)
