Jeremy i got another idea. Maybe it's better to show an action bar when you select multiple files of the "same generic file type".
Example 1: You select 2x .jpg, 3x .png => Pantheon files shows an action bar to import the photos into Pantheon-Photos.
Example 2: You select 2x .ogg, 3x.mp3 => Pantheon files shows an action bar to import the songs into Music.
Example 3: You select 1x .txt, 1x .png => Pantheon files shows nothing because Pantheon-Photos can't import text files.
Maybe the home folders like Pictures, Music, ... don't need this check because Pantheon-Photos automatically imports photos from the home folder Pictures.
What i like in this implementation, it works with CD's, the local hard disk, extern hard disk no matter what it is, it just works.
