So if I'm reading this right, any applications that have not been specifically patched to support this dbus solution would still use the standard GTK dialog. If that is the case, then that could lead to an awful lot of confusion. I think presenting the user with two dialogs that look and function differently at (from the user's perspective) arbitrary points would be worse than just leaving the current GTK dialog where it is.
