@kgiusti I repeat the test in a fedora 28 x86_64 VM and a hit the same issue, after some time one of the queues starts to have unack messages.

Can you share the output summary of your simulator.py tests with and without SSL, with a msg length = 2000000 and the same parameters I used "rpc-client -p 1 -w 1 -m 200 --timeout 10"?
