Bug Description

When searching for OpenStack-Ansible via google, references to old pages can be found which are still on the published website.

An example:

http://docs.openstack.org/developer/openstack-ansible/install-guide/configure-lbaas.html

This file is no longer present in the source:

https://github.com/openstack/openstack-ansible/tree/master/doc/source/install-guide

It would seem that the publishing process is a copy of the built documentation to the web server, without removing any of the old content.

Thanks for the valid concern - we are currently working on overhauling the documentation.

At present, this is the most updated document: http://docs.openstack.org/developer/openstack-ansible/install-guide/configure-network-services.html#load-balancing-service-optional

The old version is this one: http://docs.openstack.org/developer/openstack-ansible/install-guide/configure-lbaas.html

We are working with infra to ensure that the correct search appears when you google but there is nothing we can do at present from a documentation perspective.

Thank you,

Alex

Thanks for clarification. How about my second question about consistent of variable? Shouldn't it be lbaasv2 instead of neutron_lbaas.services.loadbalancer.plugin.LoadBalancerPluginv2?

Hi there, sorry did not mean to ignore your question.

I believe it is meant to be: neutron_lbaas.services.loadbalancer.plugin.LoadBalancerPluginv2 and not lbaasv2.

You can probably further clarify this with the neutron team as this is a neutron configuration - from what I understand, anyway.

This is a problem with the publishing process in openstack-infra. I'll take the discussion up with them and try to figure out a solution where the contents published are a proper mirror of the built documentation instead of a copy of the built documentation over content that is already there.

Another defunct link has been brought to our attention. The install-guide-draft was made defunct over a week ago and delete, yet this content is still available via google:
